A common taping technique for sprained ankles to provide support and stabilityhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKc_iSPiG7g
The proceeding video demonstrates an ankle taping technique commonly used for people with injured ankles. Often from a badly sprained ankle, to help provide some stability. This was a demonstration for a client so he could tape his partners ankle while they were on holidays. It demonstrates stir-ups, ankle locks, and a modified figure-8 taping technique. Of course, it is important to be evaluated from a trained therapist to determine if this is the correct taping technique for you. I’ve just had so many patients ask to put something on the website so they can tape themselves when they are on holidays or can’t get into our Townsville or Ayr Physiotherapists to tape them up.
